Club donates to Meadowlark Nature Festival

Shauna Sprules from the Meadowlark Nature Festival spoke to Penticton Sunrise Rotary about the over 50 different activities and events happening at the Meadowlark on the May long weekend in the South OKanagan. Nature walking, hiking, cycling, kayaking tours for people of all ages to learn more about the flora and fauna, climate and geology of our region. Tour leaders include biologists, birders, ecologists and local indigenous storytellers. Evening events include well known host of CBC's Quirks and Quarks Bob McDonald and auction of a beautiful meadowlark painting by local artist Anne-Marie Harvey. Dennis presented Shauna with an End Polio Now certificate indicating 20 children have been vaccinated against polio in her name. Pres. Dennis and Alex presented Shauna with a cheque for the festival.
